ST. GEORGE, UTAH--Ann Burge Hofer, 90, died August 22, in St. George, Utah.
Born November 25, 1905 in Salt Lake City to Fred and Tina Haerter Burge. Married John Fred Hofer in Salt Lake City, Utah. He preceded her in death on July 29, 1977.
Ann was reared in Salt Lake City and in Iowa. Lived in California many years, and 30 years in Alameda, where she was active in the Alameda Hospital Auxiliary. In 1989, she moved to St. George, Utah. Member of the LDS Church and Elks Lodge. A great lover of animals, she was associated with the pet shelter. She loved to do embroidery work and enjoyed bowling and gardening. She was employed in a jewelry store in Salt Lake City.
Survived by her daughter, Doris M. Gregg, St. George, Utah; three grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Graveside services, Tuesday, August 27, at 9 a.m. at the Wasatch Lawn Cemetery, 3401 Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah. Arrangements under the direction Metcalf Mortuary.
