Shared note	Spelling: The 1850 census shows "Durnbaugh". On his marriage record the name is spelled "Dornbaugh". Children 3 and 4 were entered into church records as "Turnbach". There was some question as to whether all of these children were borne by Susan. Correspondence with "Donna" (Email Dbem@aol.com) in Jan 2004 who was a descendant of Ellen Durnbaugh indicates that they were all Susan's children. Susan may have died when James Allen was 10 months old, according to Donna, at which point Joseph remarried...perhaps to "Elizabeth" born in 1816. (see Rev.
