This family information is from a petition posted on the internet which states that David died intestate. It gives the names of the children and wife, but no dates for birth, death, etc. It remains to find more specific info to be sure this is the correct "David" in our family
David served as a private in the 3rd Batallion, Lancaster CO, PA militia, under Colonel George Feather. This according to D.A.R. Application of Mrs. Thelma Day Cary Gogley Halford (#150821)
According to PA Archives, Series 5, Volume 7, Pgs 297-298:
"Every Male White Person residing within the district of 4th COmpany, 3rd Batallion Lancaster County Militia between 18 and 53 (in 1782)...
