Mrs. T. J. Rountree died at 4 o'clock yesterday morning at the home of her son-in-law, J. H. McDonald, No. 839 South Pasfield street, aged 57 years. The funeral will take place at 9 o'clock Sunday morning at the residence of Mr. McDonald, the Rev. Dr. Briney officiating. IL State Register, Springfield, IL, 7-20-1889

Died, at the residence of his son, Henry Rountree, 1228 East Brown street, at 12:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 29, of pneumonia, Turner Rountree, aged 65 years and 13 days. The funeral of Turner Rountree was held from the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Viola Marshall, 423 West Mason street, at 2 p.m. yesterday. The interment was made in Oak Ridge cemetery. The pall-bearers were Frank and Vance McDonald, Claude and Lloyd Marshall and Charles and Henry Rountree. IL State Register, Springfield, IL 3/1 & 3/3/1904
